Some of the resources are general and cover a wide range of topics or are an introduction to Assistive Technology tools, such as "Getting Started with Assistive Technology" and "A Parent's Guide to Assistive Technology". Others are very specific and cover a wide range of topics such as autism and science. "Signing Science" is my favorite. It's a very brief PDF, but the concept of signing science is pretty interesting, at least if you're already interested in both science and signing, as I am.

Hi Steve, I found some of the same resources and found them to be general and some a little out dated but they provide a great starting point for those teachers or other professionals looking into AT for the first time. I like how you limited it to less than 12, I may look to shorten mine but it was hard for me as they all had a little something different to offer. Great list! Melissa
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have to say it I really have a hard time focusing on your page with the blue writing, the gray and teal under it is so much easier to read.
Steve, I think it's interesting that the resources you shared are all pretty focused on assistive technology. What I think is great about some of these resources is that they can be applicable to all students, not just students who have a disability.
ReplyDeleteThe resources I found were a bit all over the place, though I did try to focus on certain kinds of resources. I think it's great that you found a resource on science as well, as I know that is your focused study.
